Developments around ChatGPT continue to unfold. Developers will soon be able to build apps that integrate directly into ChatGPT, thanks to OpenAI. Details about the latest development have now been revealed. Artificial intelligence will continue to play a greater role in our lives.

You’ll be able to interact with apps like Spotify, Canva, and Zillow directly inside a ChatGPT conversation. OpenAI has introduced a feature that enables you to work with apps inside ChatGPT. The goal is to allow you to bring apps into a chat to help complete tasks, while ChatGPT provides context and guidance. The company demonstrated several ways this feature can be used. In a live demonstration, an OpenAI staff member used ChatGPT to prompt Canva to make a poster for a dog-walking business. A few moments later, Canva returned multiple designs, and the presenter proceeded to ask for a pitch deck inspired by the poster. The employee also used ChatGPT to ask Zillow to display homes for sale in Pittsburgh, which generated an interactive Zillow map that the employee then explored with follow-up questions.

Membership Options to Be Available Within ChatGPT Have Been Announced

Starting today, apps like Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Expedia, Figma, Spotify, and Zillow will be available inside ChatGPT. OpenAI says more apps are on the way in the weeks ahead, such as DoorDash, OpenTable, Target, and Uber. As part of its wider push to connect ChatGPT with the rest of the web, users can now shop on Etsy right from within the chatbot. Developers can begin using the preview version of the SDK to build apps as of today.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said that later this year, developers will be able to submit apps for approval and publication, and users will have access to a directory to browse those apps. The company will release details about monetization soon, according to Altman.
